Chinese PC giant explores Malaysian market
This Friday, the Chinese largest PC supplier, Lenovo Group, confirmed that it had opened two concept stores in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The idea of global concept stores the Lenovo Group released recently was adopted by Malaysia, this was the first time.
The Lenovo Group believed that the move would improve its retail image and expand its market share in Malaysia. Upon the new move, the Lenovo Group now has four concept stores and 10 franchised counters in the southeastern Asian nation.
Chen Xu, Lenovo’s vice president who is in charge of strategy and operation in emerging markets, said “Though the ongoing international financial crisis has taken toll on regional economies, demand for PCs in Malaysia is warm. Opening of the new stores helps fortify our determination to continue investing in the Malaysian market.”
