World Biggest Next-Gen Internet Network is Started in China
The world’s biggest next-generation Internet network is announced to be begun according to a Chinese group, speeding data transmission and bringing more Internet protocol (IP) address possibilities.
“It’s still about the IP addresses,” Yankee Group senior analyst Zeus Kerravala told TechNewsWorld. “China’s one of a handful of countries that has less IP [addresses] than a lot of U.S. corporations.”
Compared to today’s IPv4 Internet and 128-bit IP addresses, Internet protocol version 6 (IPv6) delivers greater capacity exponentially increasing the possible addresses. It is very important in Asian countries such as China, Japan and South Korea.
