ZTE Wins Contract in India
ZTE Corporation and Unitech Wireless signed a GSM Network infrastructure agreement. ZTE Corporation provide telecommunications equipment and network solutions.Unitech Wireless, a joint venture between Norway’s Telenor Group and Unitech Group of India, holds the license to provide mobile phone services across all 22-telecom circles in India. Under the agreement, ZTE will provide GSM systems and core network equipment for 5 years.
With this contract, ZTE has won great success to the growing list of telecom service providers in India. Chairman & Managing Director of ZTE Telecom India Pvt Ltd, Dr. D. K. Ghosh, said. “This agreement not only marks our GSM network contract from a global telecom operator, but also provides us with an opportunity to establish and manage GSM networks in metros and large cities. We are confident that opportunities like these will serve to further accelerate our growth momentum and expand our business footprint in the fastest growing telecom market in the world”.
