“World’s Best CDMA Equipment Manufacturer 2009” award was announced at the Enterprise Communications Summit & Award Ceremony in Shanghai, China.
ZTE Corporation received the prestigious award from research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan. The award aims at recognizing excellent performance of the global CDMA equipment vendors in the areas of outstanding service, product R&D capacity and innovation.
Frost & Sullivan finally awarded the honor to ZTE for its exceptional performance over other industry players, based on in-depth research and analysis of the global CDMA equipment market, including market share, market competitiveness and potentials of emerging markets.In the first three quarters of 2009, shipment volume experienced sharp growth exceeding 85,000 units, or more than 170% of the total 2008 annual shipment. ZTE’s industry-leading SDR base stations account for the majority of this year’s product shipments.
According to Frost & Sullivan research’s, ZTE is expected to overtake Alcatel-Lucent as the top player in the global CDMA market with a share of 29.3% by 2010.
